25.01.2005 11:12 MosNews - In 2004 the Russian Tax Ministry has collected 4.506 trillion rubles ($161 billion) for the budget of the Russian Federation and various state extra-budgetary funds. According to the data, provided by the Federal Tax Service, in 2003 the Russian tax authorities collected 3.636 trillion rubles ($130 billion). The growth in the volume of collected taxes amounted to 23.9 percent. Out of the total sum collected, 1.974 trillion rubles ($71 billion) went to the state budget of the Russian Federation. This sum is 17.7 percent higher than in 2003. Territorial budgets received 1.8 trillion rubles ($64 billion) which is 32.4 percent higher than the year before. The state extra-budgetary funds collected 732.33 billion rubles ($26 billion) which was 22 percent more than in 2003.  According to the press statement issued by the Federal Tax Service, state revenues from income taxes grew by 64.5 percent, by 26.1 percent from personal income taxes, and by 21 percent from VAT.
